António Silveira Gomes
António Silveira Gomes was born in South Africa in 1971, and finished his studies at the Faculdade de Belas Artes in Lisbon in 1996. A year later, along with designers José Albergaria and Nuno Horta Santos, he founded the collective barbara says, dedicated primarily to editorial projects in the cultural field. Since 2001, he’s been a teacher at the Escola Superior de Artes e Design de Caldas da Rainha, in Portugal. His work has been featured on the posters for the Brno, Lahti, Teeran and China Biennials, and at the International Poster and Graphic Design Festival in Chaumont, France. Since 2006, he’s the partner of journalist Cláudia Castelo in the Projecto Próprio Design e Comunicação, also dedicated to the edition of their personal editorial projects.
