Paula Scher has been one of the most influential voices in the graphic design field for almost four decades. She studied graphic design at the Tyler School of Art and initiated her career in the seventies working for the phonographic industry. In 1991, she became the first partner of Pentagram, in New York, where she developed identity systems for clients such as Citibank, Public Theater, Tiffany & Co. and the New York MoMA. In 2009, she was elected president of the AGI. Her work is part of the permanent collection at the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Musem and at MoMA, both in New York, at the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris and at the Musem fur Gestaltung, in Zurich.
